Blog Layouts upgraded so that posts now have separate list and detailed layouts

If you go to Admin > More Customization Options > Blog Layouts you'll see the screen has been slightly updated to give you access to the new 'Blog Post Details' Layout. This is due to blog posts being given 2 separate layouts now:

'Blog Post List' determines how the blog post will be rendered when it is listed on the blog itself with the other blog posts that precede it. You can use the 'blogpostbodypreview' tag to show the first paragraph of each post only to show a summary view of your blog.
'Blog Post Detail' determines how the blog post will be rendered when a visitor to your blog clicks through on the title in the list view to view the whole post in the detailed view.

The main advantage of this is that you can now publish different code in the list and detail layout, thereby customizing the two differently to integrate social media code in the detailed post view. We've also fixed detailed posts so now the post title (instead of the blog title) is shown in the browser title when the visitor clicks through on the post title to view the detailed post.

Customizable SEO-Friendly URLs for Products and Catalogs

Products and Catalogs have been upgraded so their URLs are now editable and more SEO-Friendly. To enable this feature you'll need to follow these steps:

In the Admin Console, choose Admin > Google/Bing/Yahoo Optimization.
On the Search Engine Optimization page that appears, scroll down and click the option to Enable SEO friendly URLs.

After you enable the SEO friendly URL Feature the system will automatically rewrite all the URLs for your catalogs and products so they become easier for both humans and search engines to read. Products in an online store will use a URL structured in this format:

"http://www.domain.com/catalog/sub-catalog/product-name"

Going forward from this point all new products and catalogs that you add will have SEO-friendly URLs created following these steps:

The system will convert the product or catalog name into lowercase characters
The system will change any spaces and special characters, such as ampersands (&) and percent signs (%), are changed into dashes (-).
If multiple folders, catalogs or products use duplicate names, the resulting URLs are checked for duplicates; as needed, the system appends a numerical suffix of to create a unique URL

When you edit the products and catalogs you will be able to manually edit their URLs in the detailed view if the generated URLs are insufficient for your needs. Please note that due to these changes in Product and Catalog URLs the Product import template has been changed so you will need to export your product list again or download the new template before you edit your products offline and upload afterward.

Recurring Billing now pays Affiliate Commissions

For customers using affiliates, if your affiliate partners refer customers who purchase products that generate a recurring order the affiliate will now be paid commission each time the order is generated instead of just paying commissions once on the initial order.

Dynamic Menu Items can now be Enabled/Disabled

There is now a checkbox at the bottom of each dynamic menu item that lets you choose whether a menu item is displayed live on your site. Toggling these on or off means that you don't have to delete a menu item to remove it from the live view. This is useful if you want to remove items from your dynamic menus temporarily or when you're building out a new site but you want to hide unfinished sections by removing the ability to navigate there and enable them later.

You can access this by going to Website > Dynamic Menus > [Menu Name] > [Menu Item]

New Tax Tags introduced for ECommerce (Shopping Cart)

For countries such as UK and Australia where store owners are entering prices inclusive of sales tax (VAT, GST) we now have {tag_producttaxpercentage,percentage} and {tag_totaltaxpercentage,percentage} to use on the shopping cart and invoice layouts which will calculate and display tax based on the retail or sale price entered for the product.

To use this tag, you should enter in the prices of all your products inclusive of tax. That way when the products are displayed on your online store their prices will be the final prices that your customers will be paying. To show how much of their product price will be paid as a sales tax in the shopping cart layout simply replace the standard {tag_producttaxamount} tag with a {tag_producttaxpercentage, 12.5} tag where 12.5 is the percentage of tax to be paid.

Site Search has been upgraded

Both the Site Search (which searches forums, blog posts, web-app items, products etc) and Product Search (which searches products only) have had the technology that powers them upgraded. The search index for your site has also been rebuilt.

How it benefits you:

Speed - the new site search is exponentially faster. Where we used to measure site search result generation in seconds, we are now measuring in milliseconds in the latest performance tests. Even on large sites, search results are being returned almost instantaneously for commonly occurring keywords.
Search Terms Highlighted in Results: in the text blurb displayed below the result link the search will now display the text fragment that surrounds the search terms to give a better context for the result. The search terms themselves will be highlighted. In the past the system would display the first paragraph of the item description.

This was a seamless upgrade, you do not have to make any modifications to your site to take advantage of the upgraded site search. If you didn't have site search on your site before, now would be great time to take advantage of the new version. Add it by using the module manager while you are editing your site pages or site-wide templates and picking the 'Search' option to insert.

Recurring Billing now available for "Process Offline" Payment Gateway

A much requested feature, you are now able to use 'Process Offline' as a payment gateway type for recurring billing. However, please keep your encrypted customers billing details handy (and don't forget your passphrase) as these are only sent once on the initial recurring order.

Whenever you set the cycle type for a Product to enable recurring purchases you will no longer be asked by the system to use a Payment Gateway that supports recurring billing such as Authorize.net if your payment gateway is already set to 'Process Offline'

DNS Management Tools: more options have been added

When you go to Admin > Manage Domain Name you'll see the interface has been updated to give you full control over the DNS settings for your site. Extra functionality has been added to allow you:

Setup Domain Names - as with the previous DNS manager this allows you to add your own domain names choose whether you want to host your Domain name externally or re-delegate to your site.
Forward Domains - Any of the domains and sub-domains that you setup on your site can be forwarded to other domains that are hosted on your site. You are now able to setup your www records to forward to your non-www records for your domains to solve canonical domain issues and stop search engines treating "http://domain.com" and "http://www.domain.com" as two different sites.
Setup A records - create subdomains for your site and choose the start page for them. You'll also be able to choose the country and culture which will help in building multi-lingual sites with different subdomains.
Setup CNAME records - will give you the ability to add any number of sub-domains and point them to externally hosted websites and services, or you can point them to another A record that you've created on your site
Setup MX Records - setting up your sites to use an externally hosted mail service is a breeze now because you have the option to add your own MX records.
Setup Advanced records - you can create TXT, SPF, SRV or AAAA records just by choosing a name, a TTL and entering in your record data.

With the canonical domain issue resolved, the ability to create sub-domains, and the ability point them to 3rd party services the new DNS tools are a great addition to the system!

New Feature: InContext Editing has arrived!

Our newest feature - InContext Editing - is now available in the Administration area and ready for use. It's a next generation tool that gives business owners greater control over their websites. You can now make changes more easily without compromising the overall design of your website. Some of the main benefits include:

The ability to set editable regions within any web page to limit scope of change and preserve design quality
Content editing is more intuitive - you edit "InContext" on the page rather than having an editor pop-up as was the case with Sitewalk
The new InContext content editor is much more robust compared with the Sitewalk text editor

Please note that InContext Editing will be in Beta for the next 12 weeks during which Sitewalk will continue to remain available. When the Beta period ends, Sitewalk will reach end-of-life and will be removed from the Administration area. During the Beta period for InContext Editing we will continue to make small improvements.

Customer Service Ticketing: More granular availability options

If you are using the Customer Service Ticketing feature inside your business, now your customer service representatives have access to more granular control around when they receive customer cases. Previously a customer service rep would either be available or not available to receive customer cases. However now, a customer service rep can make themselves unavailable but still receive replies to existing cases assigned to them. This is useful in the case of a manager who may handle escalated cases and wants to continue to receive further communication on that case, but does not wish to receive new customer cases.

301 Redirect: New management interface now available

We've released a new management interface inside the Administration area for your 301 Redirects. Previously you could only manage these using an import tool. Now you can see a list of your redirects and easily make changes to these.

To access this new feature click on Website->Web Pages and choose 'Manage URL Redirects' via the Action Box.

Store Locator/Google Maps: Zip codes added for Brazil, New Zealand, Japan, France, and Spain

Enhanced FTP: Now access site-wide templates & layouts

Have you noticed anything new when using FTP? To date you were able to update web pages and other assets such as images, scripts, css files and so forth. Now you'll notice the addition of 2 new folders called Templates and Layouts. Using FTP you can now add, update or delete Site-Wide templates. You can also download and make changes to any of your module layouts.

To see these changes simply connect to your website using FTP and look out for these 2 new folders.

My Account page now available

We've recently added capabilities to our SagePay integration to allow secure recurring billing otherwise known as Continuous Authority transactions with Mastercard and Visa cards. Customers in the UK will benefit from this if using one of the following banks:

We've introduced Paypal 3D

This is a security feature which ensures that payments using certain credit and debit cards are authenticated by the cardholder's bank at the time of the transaction - read more at the Paypal website. Online merchants using Paypal 3D will be able to protect themselves from chargebacks and login to Cardinal Commerce to track the transactions customers have made in your online store. Reports offered include authentication activity, payment activity, notification activity and batch activity as well. Track the enrollment status, authentication status and the signature status for each credit card purchase made.

If your gateway is PayPal Websites Payments Pro and your site is based on UK then this applies to you. You MUST have an account with Cardinal before January 21st if you want to be able to process Maestro cards on your site.

Bulk update from name and email address of your system emails

This has been a popular request where customers have wanted to update the from name and email address of all their system emails in bulk. System emails are any email that are sent to the visitors of your website based on the actions that they take, e.g. an auto responder after they submit a form, or when they use the lost password option for a secure zone. When you use this feature you will bulk update the from name/email for:

Customize newsletter unsubscribe tag into your own language

Many of our customers from non-English speaking countries have asked whether they can customize the tags used in email marketing newsletters. For example to have the ability to display words such as Unsubscribe and View-in-Browser in their own language. This feature is now available in the system.

These 4 newsletter tags are now customizable:

{tag_unsubscribe}
{tag_unsubscribelist}
{tag_viewinbrowser}
{ tag_tellafriend}

To customize simply append your own text to the tag:

{tag_unsubscribe,Click here to unsubscribe but we’ll be sorry to see you go}

If no text is provided then the standard text will appear in English. Furthermore if the unsubscribe tag {tag_unsubscribe} is customized then the system will force its own unsubscribe link in English right at the bottom. This is in case the unsubscribe tag is changed to a word which no longer means unsubscribe. This is a condition in customizing this tag.

Improved Deliverability of Email Newsletters

We've been working hard over the last few months to make improvements to our newsletter deliverability rate. We've added two major enhancements which we believe will significantly enhance the deliverability of your email newsletters.

DKIM - DomainKeys Identified Mail is a method for email authentication that allows you to take responsibility for the email newsletters that you send in a way that can be validated by a recipient. Large email providers such as Yahoo and many others rely on this technology to validate your newsletters and allow for a more timely delivery
List-Unsubscribe Headers – This feature will add a "list-unsubscribe" header to your outgoing email marketing emails. By doing so we enable ISPs to add an unsubscribe link or button into their user interface. That way, readers who want to unsubscribe, but can't be bothered with locating the unsubscribe link in your email, can do so without clicking the "Spam" button in their email clients which in turn affects your derivability rates

We've made 2 improvements with the way our tasks and reminder feature works. As you may be aware you can create tasks and reminders for records such as customers, orders, cases and so forth. With this enhancement you can now:

Create tasks and assign them to any user in the system
Download tasks in iCal format so they appear in the calendaring client of our choice, e.g. Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook

PayPal Website Standard Improvements: Authorize transactions only

Now you can pre-authorize transactions that are placed in your online shop and charge them at a later time. With this option enabled the system will pre-authorize a customer's credit card for the value of the goods purchased. You are then required to login to PayPal and complete the transaction by either charging the card (so you can receive payment) or cancelling the transaction altogether. This feature is useful if you carry a limited number of units for each product and you wish to ensure you have stock before taking payment from a customer.

To enable this feature go to: eCommerce->Payment Gateways. You will see a new checkbox in the PayPal Website Standard configuration area.

We're currently making several changes "under the hood" to this system, in order to secure a higher level of PCI compliance than we currently hold. These changes will ultimately provide you with a more secure, standards compliant eCommerce solution.

Please take note of the important changes outlined below if you or your clients are using:

Process Offline for one-off or recurring billing
Authorizet.net for recurring billing
eWay for recurring billing

For Users of Process Offline - Action Required ASAP.

For those using our Offline Processing option for online payments, the system will soon cease capturing payment details in the database. Instead, it will email them to designated email addresses via a secure PDF file (Learn More).

The system will no longer save credit card details for Offline Processing. This is to ensure the highest level of PCI compliance. Instead, a new process will be adopted:

Credit Card details will be sent to nominated addresses via email in an encrypted PDF file.
These emails will be like bank checks or cash; you must not lose or delete them before processing the card details, otherwise the information is lost.
You need to provide us with a unique passphrase to lock your PDFs. This is like a bank card's PIN number.
You will be able to provide multiple email addresses on which to receive payment details. It will be prudent to name at least a primary and secondary email account, possibly with different mail

For Offline Processing to continue functioning, these details must be entered into the system prior to Wednesday 19 August, 2009.

For Users of Authorize.net and eWay - Action Required ASAP.

Users of Authorize.net you will need to enable "Customer Information Manager" in the Authorize.net administration to enable recurring billing (Learn More). If you are using the eWay payment gateway for recurring billing, you will now need to provide us with your eWay username and password (Learn More).

These details must be entered into the system for recurring billing to function.

Note: This change doesn't affect the majority of customers who do use Authorize.net or eWay but do not utilize recurring billing. For most of you, this is purely a heads-up. Those who are affected have already been contacted directly with instructions.

Captchas are generally a part of your online inquiry forms, newsletter subscription forms and are designed to stop automated bots from submitting spam to you. Comment improvement

To date the comments feature in this system has allowed you to capture comments from your website visitors on almost any type of content. You can capture customer comments in your online shop on products, on web app items, on web pages and much more. The new improvements allow you to control whether any visitor can comment (anonymous comments) or the visitor must be logged in to a secure zone before being able to comment.

The new options available are:

Anyone can comment (as per before)
Visitor must be logged in to a Secure Zone before being able to comment (a person can comment unlimited times on a given item)
Visitor must be logged in to a Secure Zone before being able to comment (a person can only comment once on a given item)

Choose who to show your shipping options to

Now you can customize your shipping options and decide who sees which option at the checkout. By default your shipping options are visible to anyone who checks out, but now you can configure them and make them available to only consumers or to only wholesalers. To apply this to any shipping option go to eCommerce->Shipping Options. Click on "Show More Options" to set this option.

Ability to change the default domain for your site

You can now change the default domain of your site. This new enhancement is particularly useful if you have setup email on one domain but wish to change it to a different domain. Categorize your blog posts

As part of the improvements we are making to our blogs functionality we've added the ability to categorize your blogs posts. Categorizing blog posts is simliar to tagging however it is more structured. To learn more and to categorize and/or tag your blog posts go to Website->Blogs. You can create and manage your list of categories via Admin->Manage Categories.

Once you've categorized your blog posts simply drop {tag_blogcategorylist} on your blog layout. You can customize your blog via Admin->More Customization Options->Blog Layouts.

We have a number of other exciting blog improvements in the pipeline which we will be rolling out in the coming weeks.

Granular Domain Configuration - Country, Language and Number Formatting

To date you've been able to set the Country of each domain you add to the system. The country for a domain tells the system what number and currency formatting to use. But now we've introduced a new field call Culture. It allows you to set the language and formatting options independently from the country. For instance you can set the country to Canada and the language to French, for a site in Québec. To learn more and take advantage of this option go to Admin->Manage Domains.

Australian Data Center interruption - Sun (7/Jun) 11:30am AEST

Our Australian data center provider Primus Telecom experienced a power outage yesterday (Sun 7/Jun) at approximately 11:30am AEST. This outage did *not* affect any sites hosted in our North American and European data centers. Due to this interruption, the operation of some Australian sites was interrupted and quickly restored as we failed over to our backup systems. However during this time some customers' access to the Administration interface of their websites was affected for a longer period, although their websites continued to operate as normal. This the first power outage that Primus Telecom have experienced in the last 5.5 years. It was caused by their monthly test of their UPS systems (uninterruptable power supplies). During the test, Primus failed over to their UPS successfully but when they switched back to main power, some power in data center was lost. We will review all our procedures in the coming days to ensure we minimize impact on customers sites should a similar outage occur in the future.

We're in the process of rolling out a number of major enhancements to our blog functionality! The first improvement affects how your blog navigation works. Until recently we've relied on Ajax for a faster and smoother user experience. However due to popular demand we've changed this behavior and have removed the Ajax functionality. We've also introduced search engine friendly URLs for category and tags which previously only worked via Ajax. For all customers who've been requesting this feature we hope you enjoy these improvements.

New Payment Gateways Added for Netherlands, India and Puerto Rico

No Restriction on File Extensions in File Manager or FTP

Until recently we only allowed web friendly file extensions to be uploaded via the File Manager and FTP. However we've recently removed this restriction. This means you can upload files with any extension to the system.

If you are using the new customer service ticketing feature in the system you may have noticed a new option in the ribbon in the Admin (top-right near your name). This new option appears if you are a user who handles customer inquiries through our new ticketing feature. It allows you to easily put yourself in Available or Unavailable modes which dictates whether you receive customer inquiries or whether they are routed to other members within your organization.

eCommerce Improvements: Show featured products

Now you can tag products and display them in various parts of your website with ease. We've developed a new module that allows you to display any number of products for a given tag on your website. Web Apps: Import File Format Changes / Import Classifications

We've made some enhancements to the Web Apps import and as a result there are a number of changes to the import file. You can now use the Web App import to classify each item against one or more classifications. Additionally with the release of our Store Locator enhancements you can now import an address for each Web App item.

To learn more go to any Web App and click to download the entire web app list. You'll see the new columns present in the file downloaded. You may leave the columns empty if they don't apply.

Web Apps: Exciting Improvements - Store Locator/Google Maps integration

This is a really exciting enhancement to our Web Apps framework. Now you can create Store Locator functionality with just a few clicks of the mouse. For any web app you can enable the "Address Input/Search" option which enables you to add or import an address for an item. You can then utilize the Web Apps Search Form to allow anyone to search for items within a certain vicinity of that address. Additionally we've developed 2 new modules that allow you to plot web app items on a Google map!

Once you are ready simply use the Module Manager to add { module_webappsmap} to a web page in order to display a list of web app items on a Google map. Alternatively you can use { module_webappsresultsmap} to display web app items on a Google map when using the search feature.

Customer Service Ticketing: Now handles web form inquiries

We've just added support so web form inquiries can utilize the new Customer Service Ticketing framework. This means regardless of whether your inquiries are coming directly via email or customers are filling in a web form on your website, you can have a consistent process for dealing with them. To take advantage of this enhancement go to Modules->Web Forms and choose any web form. Then from the Workflow drop down box choose the relevant Customer Service Ticketing account.

Now you can filter your customer cases by their source. Customer cases are normally created when someone fills in a contact us form on your website. Did you know you can exclude your own IP address from the reporting analytics? If you have a permanent IP address then it's a great idea to have this address excluded from the reporting statistics so you can get a better feel of who is visiting your website. We've made some changes to the way you choose a start page for your website. Until now you could only set a web page as a start page. But now you can also set a blog or an online shop catalog as your start page. If you have more than one URL in your website, you can now use the new Start Page dialog to choose the URLs you want to update the Start Page for. Normally when viewing a forum thread, the posts are displayed from oldest to newest. However we've had a number of customers ask to sort posts in reverse date order, i.e. newest to oldest. This is now possible! To utilize this feature simply go to Admin->More Customization Options->Forum Layouts->Post Page and change {tag_postlist} to {tag_postlist,date}.

Now you can add any forum to one of your RSS channels. This is a great way of keeping your broader community in the loop with the conversations that are taking place on your forums. eCommerce: Allow existing Customers to Login during checkout

We've made some enhancements to allow you to more easily implement a login box during checkout. When you implement this for existing customers you can then ensure the checkout form is pre-populated. To implement this go to Admin->More Customization Options->Online Shop Layouts and choose the Shopping Cart layout. Using the Module Manager on the WYSIWYG editor's tool bar simply insert a generic Secure Zone login form. With this on your page, customers can either click on the exsting 'Checkout' button or choose to login and be redirected to the checkout form.

We also added new modules to help you prepopulate the billing and shipping address fields. You can use {module_shippingaddress}, {module_shippingcity}, {module_billingaddress} and so forth to prepopulate the checkout form.

eCommerce: Limit number of units purchased for any product

Now you can limit the number of units of a product that can be added to the cart by your customers. This may be useful if you are selling certain product where a minimum quantity needs to be purchased or where you want to limit the maximum number of units that can be purchased in one order. To use this feature simply go to eCommerce->Products and select any product. Click on 'Show More Options' and enter a value in the Min & Max Unit fields.

eCommerce: Exciting Product Attribute Improvements

We've made some exciting new improvements to Product Attributes. Unlike Product Grouping where each item in the group is a different product, product attributes are a way of adding meta information to any product at the time of the purchase. For example if you are selling a Sofa and you'd like the customer to choose the stitching style, color and leather type, then you would use product attributes. Such attributes may not necessarily represent different products, but are important to the final product being purchased. The improvements we've made in this area include:

Ability to set a price for each attribute. This means in addition to the product price, each attribute can have its own price which gets added to the product price if selected
Ability to display attributes as checkboxes (allows for multiple attributes to be selected), radio list and drop down. Previously you could only display them in drop down format
Ability to specify an image for each attribute

In the longer term we will also allow attributes to be displayed in textbox format. This will come in handy if you are selling products such as curtains. For example if you sell curtains by the meter, the customer will be able to enter the number of meters and have that multiplied by the attribute price to calculate the total price of that product.

To utilize this feature please download the latest Product Import Template file from Admin->Imports to learn more about how to enter information in the import file and/or the Admin interface to specify this extra information. We will be enhancing the interface in the Admin in the coming weeks to allow you to enter attribute information much more easily. We hope you enjoy these new improvements.

Significant Shipping Improvements

We've made some significant shipping improvements during the holidays. We've received much feedback from our customers on what they'd like to see in this feature. The new improvements include:

The ability to filter the shipping options displayed to customers based on the total value of the products in an order
Ability to add handling charges to any of your shipping options. You can now add a base handling charge as well as a per item handling charge
You can now limit shipping options based on the products purchased. This is particularly useful if you are selling perishable items where they may need overnight delivery

We've just released the Administration interface in Spanish, French and German languages. This means our friends in these countries can now use this system in their own language. Please keep in mind that this launch is in beta and there are a few minor issues which we hope to resolve in the coming weeks. We will be adding a number of other languages to the system in early 2009!

You can change the language via the ribbon at the top-right of the Administration area.

Duplicate Workflow Emails Issue

Some customers may have experienced receiving a handful of workflow notifications emails which may have seemed out of place. This was due to a small error in an upgrade we made earlier and for a period of around 5 minutes workflow emails were duplicated to a handful of users, possibly including you.

Please accept our apology. And rest assured that we are already improving our processes so that such a mishap won't take place again!

You can safely delete these emails.

Purge Web App items more easily

Ever wanted to link Web Apps together? Imagine you have a Web App for listing students. With this feature you can now link Students to Courses and so forth. So when viewing a list of students you'd be able to click on the courses each student is enrolled in and effectively be viewing a different Web App. To enable this exciting feature go to Admin->Build Web Apps->Choose a Web App to edit. You'll now be able to add a new field type called Data Source. When you choose this type of field you'll be able to then choose another Web App to link this Web App to.

Improved WYSIWYG Editor + Google Chrome compatibility

We've made some significant improvements to our WYSIWYG editor, specifically around the way it produces HTML markup. Since all WYSIWYG editors use the browser's rending engine it proves complicated to address all the browser quirks. However the recent improvements get us closer to ensuring the code the WYSIWYG editor produces is perfect.

We've also added support for Google Chrome. If you are a fan of this new web browser then you can use it to edit your web pages in the WYSIWYG editor. Please note that we officially only support Internet Explorer and Firefox on the PC and Safari and Firefox on Mac.

Want to sell recurring products in your online shop?

Ever wanted to sell recurring products in your online shop? Now you can. For any given product you can choose its recurring cycle and have the system automatically create orders that recur when a customer purchases such products.

To take advantage of this new and exciting feature:

Go to eCommerce->Products and choose a product
Click on "Show More Options" and locate "Cycle Type" drop down
Set the appropriate recurring frequency for this product, you can choose between Once, Daily, Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly and Yearly

Now for example if a customer buys a handful of products in which a couple have a monthly recurring cycle, then upon successfully paying for the order the system will create a new recurring order with the recurring products. The system will use payment details from the initial order for subsequent recurring orders. Also the original shipping charges will apply to subsequent orders.

Refer-a-Friend & Campaign Subscription forms now support captcha

We've enabled Word Verification or Captcha for our Refer-a-Friend and Campaign Subscription forms to reduce the amount of spam submission that is generated via such forms. To take advantage of this new feature simply go to any web page or site-wide template that has one of these forms and replace it with an updated version of the form. The captcha field will be on the form when the form is re-inserted.

New Web Form Credit Card options streamline and automate your business!

We've added 2 new credit card options to our web forms feature that'll help you streamline and automate your online business. Currently we have one credit card option that simply allows you to collect and process payments in real-time, e.g. collect donations. The 2 new options allow you to:

Process existing invoices - If you are using the Order/Invoicing framework in this system, then you can manually or automatically send invoices to your customers and have them visit a specific page on your website, enter the relevant invoice number and pay for it in real-time using their credit card.
Update credit card details - This feature is particularly useful if you are using our recurring billing engine. You can now put the 'Update Credit Card Details' form on any web page and have your customers visit this web page as and when they need to update their credit card details.

Allow customers to classify web app items upon submission

For those of you who are utilizing the 'Web App Input Form' on your website, you'd know that you can automatically classify all submissions into one or more categories. Now you can go one step further and allow customers to choose the categories an item should be classified under. For example if you have an employment site that your website customers can submit jobs to, now you can incorporate a list box on your form that allows them to choose the relevant categories. Have more than one Start Page in your website?

Are you using more than one URL for your website? Do you want to have a different Start Page for each URL? Previously you could specify only one Start Page which would be used for all your URLs. We've changed this behavior to give you far more control as to the Start Page you want to use for each URL. To take advantage of this feature simply go to: Admin->Manage Domains and choose the relevant domain and set its Start Page. You can also still set the Start Page when working with a Web Page which will apply that to the default URL of your website.

Specify a separate title for your blogs

You can now specify a separate title for each of your blogs. Up until recently the blog name was used as the page title, however due to demand and improved SEO there is now an option to specify a separate title for each blog. A much sought after request, now you can with a click of a button opt-out all the email addresses that bounced for a given campaign. To take advantage of this feature simply go to any delivered campaign and click to view the 'bounced report'. Then from the Action drop-down choose to unsubscribe from all bounces.

We've made two new minor eCommerce improvements:

You can now allow customers to upload files at the checkout. Files uploaded during checkout can be viewed with each order. To add this to your checkout simply enable 'File Upload' on your check out form and re-insert it into your checkout via Admin->More Customization Options->Online Shop Layouts->Registration (Buy).
Product import now allows you to import wholesale prices for any product. Simply go to Admin->Import->Products and re-download the Product Import Template to learn more.

Customize and simplify Admin Menus for any user

Now you can customize the Admin Menus for any user in your site. That means content editors can only see the content editing tools, marketers will only see marketing tools and so forth. This new feature will allow you to significantly simplify the Administration interface and the options available to users. To take advantage of this feature simply go to Admin->Manage Users->Choose a user and click on "Configure Admin Menus" from the Action Box.

Filter Customers Based on Product Purchased

We've enhanced the 'Create a Customer Report' feature so that you can now easily retrieve a list of customers who purchased a particular product and add them to a marketing list or export them for further analysis. To use this feature simply go to Reports->Create a Customer Report and create a new 'Customers & Orders' report. In the filters section simply choose 'Product Purchased' and select a product from the list.
